For version 6 of Koibird we go to the Eastern Bloc. I love the chintz and layers of an Eastern European home. They marry classic folk sensibilities with the frills and flourishes of a perfect grandmother's living room. You can almost see the chronology of the space coming to life .. a family heirloom here a repurposed pieces of lace there ..... mixed in with narratives of folklore painting.

For koibird Eastern bloc the challenge was to hold onto these textures and layers without over shadowing the incredible fashion edit.

We took a now Koibird staple; the pastel pink and purple shades and added touches of flounce and pattern using lace and florals synonymous with eastern European domestic interiors to create our most homely interior to date.
